About roguepublications.com

General Mission Guidelines

Located in the Virgin Islands, rogue was started in 2006. Their objective is to publish Virgin Island writers in a manner that could attract a reading public, mass publisher, or literary agent to the author.

While it isn't self-publishing, the author must pay the actual cost for editing, cover design, page formatting, and  manufacturing the book. The author sets the retail and wholesale costs, his or her profit, and rogue gets it published and the titles, if approved, sent to wholesalers, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Ingram, and Baker and Taylor.

Until rogue better understands the marketing of books, each author is responsible for developing sales for the book, following rogues ideas or his or her own.

The printer handles all sales to the wholesalers and pays rogue the royalties, which is turned over to the author without charges or deductions from rogue (unless miscellaneous charges are incurred by rogue). When royalties exceed, $500 per check, rogue will deduct 10% for its involvement.

The author retains all rights and may pull the book from rogue at any time (within printer's required lead time) and do with it as he or she wants.

For authors wishing to sell the books locally, it will be agreed by other rogue authors to help sell each others books when making presentations in a manner not to distract from their personal sales.

It's a developing concept and open to all suggestions and participation by any person interested.
